Silent Sewing Academy

Silent Sewing Academy is the home of the renowned Learn to Sew in 16 Lessons course.

Farhana Arbee, better known as Mrs. A to her students and with over 20 years experience in designing sewing under her belt, had a dream of empowering the women in her community. “Everybody needs a skill,” she said, and so, in September 2007, what was then known as the Beginner Level course took root.

Thirteen years have passed and Silent Sewing Academy’s course portfolio has grown. With over 200 alumni, it is, by far, the most sought-after sewing course in Durban.
